Awhile back, I stumbled across a quickie tutorial for a fitted tablecloth on the Smashed Peas and Carrots blog. I added it to my blog 'bucket list' of projects I want to try one day. My kids constantly pull and tug at my tablecloths and never fail to nearly pull them right off. I've tried an elasticized table cloth before, but this sounded way easier.
Recently I picked up a $5 flannel-backed vinyl table cloth (read: wipes messy boys' spills up easily!) for the holidays. It was oblong and I needed a square for my kitchen table, so I figured this was the perfect time to try out the fitted table cloth.
It was a simple matter of hacking off the excess with my serger, and then clipping the triangles at the corner to make a boxed edge.
It really was pretty easy, and I'll totally make another one soon! Thanks so much for sharing your great tutorial, Smashed Peas and Carrots! Be sure to check it out, too!

Great post and nice table covers. I am also going to make some fitted table covers for my exhibition booth.
